Pakistan Hackers Attack Indian Websites – Most Attacks Failed
Tensions between India and Pakistan have also led to a big cyberattack. Hackers linked to Pakistan tried to attack Indian websites more than 15 lakh times (1.5 million attacks). But only about 150 attacks were successful, thanks to strong security by Indian cyber teams.
At least seven Pakistani hacker groups were involved. They mainly targeted Indian government websites, banks, and defense-related systems. They used tricks like sending viruses, overloading websites (DDoS), and changing website content to spread confusion.
A special team from Maharashtra Cyber Cell tracked these hackers and stopped many of their attacks. They also found a new dangerous virus named “Dance of the Hillary,” which is spreading through social media. People are being warned not to click on strange links or messages.
The Punjab Police also gave a public warning asking people to protect their personal data and avoid fake apps or suspicious websites.
Some people on social media said that India’s power grid was hacked, but the Indian government has confirmed that these are false rumors.
Right now, India is keeping a close watch on all cyber threats. Experts say this shows that cyberattacks are also a part of modern-day wars, and India is well-prepared to protect its digital systems.
