Mukesh Ambani Meets Donald Trump at Qatar State Dinner

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, attended a special state dinner in Qatar hosted in honor of U.S. President Donald Trump. The dinner took place at Lusail Palace in Doha and was arranged by Qatar’s ruler, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Though the event was mainly ceremonial, Mukesh Ambani’s presence is seen as important. His company, Reliance, has strong international ties — including investments from Qatar and partnerships with American companies like Google and Meta. His visit showed the growing importance of Reliance in global business and diplomacy.

This is not the first time Ambani and Trump met. In January 2025, Mukesh and Nita Ambani also attended Trump’s second presidential inauguration. The two families share a personal friendship — the Trump family even attended Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding celebrations in March 2024.

While no business deals were announced during the dinner, experts believe such meetings help build stronger relationships between global leaders and top business figures. Ambani’s presence could lead to new investment opportunities between India, the U.S., and Middle Eastern countries like Qatar.
