India Expels Another Pakistani Diplomat Over Spy Charges

The Indian government asked another official from the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi to leave the country within 24 hours. This is the second time in just one week that a Pakistani diplomat has been expelled. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the official was involved in activities that go against his role as a diplomat.

The expulsion is part of an ongoing investigation into spying cases. Recently, a YouTuber from Haryana named Jyoti Malhotra was arrested for allegedly sharing sensitive information with a Pakistani official who had already been asked to leave India earlier.

In response to India’s action, Pakistan also expelled an Indian diplomat from its High Commission in Islamabad, accusing him of doing things that were not acceptable under diplomatic rules. This back-and-forth shows that tensions between the two countries are growing.

The Indian government has warned the Pakistani High Commission not to misuse its diplomatic privileges and has reminded them to follow international diplomatic rules strictly.

This situation comes at a time when relations between India and Pakistan are already tense. There have been increased military alerts at the border, and some agreements between the two countries, like the Indus Waters Treaty, are also under stress.

While the governments are trying to manage the crisis, the repeated expulsions show that trust between India and Pakistan is very low right now. Both sides are being very cautious, and it’s unclear when the situation will improve.
