Producers spend crores, but a single review can decide their film’s fate in hours.

Every negative review posted in haste is a blow to a producer’s years of hard work.

Telugu movie producers are feeling upset with film reviewers these days. The main reason is that many reviewers are posting their opinions on YouTube and social media just a few hours after the movie releases. If the review is negative, it can stop many people from going to the theatre, especially on the first day. This first-day collection is very important for producers to recover the money they spent on making the movie.

Producers also say that some reviewers are being too harsh and not fair. Instead of giving a proper review, they make fun of the film or use strong negative words just to get more views and likes. This is hurting the film and the people who worked hard on it. Small-budget films are getting affected more because they don’t have big stars or big promotions to attract people. Even if the story is good, these films are being ignored due to bad reviews.

Another complaint is that big hero films don’t get criticized much, even if the content is average. But the same reviewers are very quick to point out faults in small films. This makes it difficult for new directors and actors to get success. Many people now trust online reviews and decide whether to watch a film or not just by seeing a few videos or posts. Because of this, even good films are getting rejected without a fair chance.

Producers are asking for some control on this. They want reviewers to wait at least 2–3 days before giving their opinion publicly. This will help the film get some time to reach the audience on its own. While everyone has the right to express their views, producers feel reviewers should be more responsible and think about how their words can affect the efforts of hundreds of people who worked on the movie.
