Punjab Kings Outclass CSK in a Thriller at Chepauk

In the 49th match of IPL 2025, Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 4 wickets at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. With this loss, CSK is now officially out of the race for the playoffs.

CSK’s Strong Start, But Sudden Collapse

CSK batted first and looked very strong. Sam Curran played an excellent innings and scored 88 runs from 47 balls. CSK was getting ready for a big total. But everything changed in the 19th over.

Yuzvendra Chahal, bowling for Punjab, shocked everyone by taking 4 wickets in 5 balls, including a hat-trick. This suddenly stopped CSK’s momentum. CSK was all out for 190 runs in 19.2 overs.
