Tesla Chair Robyn Denholm Denies Rumors of CEO Change
esla’s Chairperson Robyn Denholm has said that Elon Musk will continue to be the CEO of Tesla and that there are no plans to replace him.
This statement came after a report by the Wall Street Journal claimed that Tesla’s board was looking for a new CEO and had spoken to some hiring companies. However, Denholm strongly denied this, saying:
“There is no search for a new CEO. Elon Musk has the full support of Tesla’s board. These reports are not true.”
Elon Musk also responded on social media (X, formerly Twitter), calling the news report false and baseless.
Recently, some people have been concerned because Musk has been spending time on other projects like his AI company and political involvement. That led to some talk about whether he would continue focusing on Tesla.
But after Denholm’s clear statement, Tesla’s stock went up by 2.8%, showing that investors felt more confident.
Tesla says Musk is still fully committed to the company and its future plans, including new electric cars and self-driving technology.
