Electric Vehicles Boom in Telangana: Registrations Cross 2 Lakh Mark

The number of eco-friendly electric vehicles (EVs) in Telangana has crossed the significant milestone of 2 lakh. According to the state Transport Department’s data, over 1.96 lakh electric vehicles had been registered across the state by the end of the 2024–25 financial year (March 31). By the end of April, the total count surpassed 2 lakh.

Among the total electric vehicles, more than 80% are two-wheelers, followed by electric cars. The growing use of EVs is benefiting not only the owners with cost-effective transport but also contributing positively to the environment by reducing pollution and dependence on fossil fuels.
