Popular bike brand KTM has increased the prices of some of its bikes in the Indian market. Due to rising production costs and inflation, the company decided to raise prices by ₹1,000 to ₹12,000 depending on the model.
Here’s a simple look at the new prices:
- The KTM 390 Duke now costs ₹2.96 lakh (ex-showroom). The price went up by ₹1,000. Earlier, KTM had reduced this bike’s price by ₹18,000, so this increase is small in comparison.
- The KTM 250 Duke and KTM RC 390 got a bigger price hike of more than ₹5,000. The 250 Duke now costs ₹2.30 lakh, and the RC 390 is ₹3.23 lakh (both ex-showroom). The 250 Duke competes with bikes like Bajaj Pulsar N250, Hero Xtreme 250R, and Suzuki Gixxer 250.
- The KTM RC 200 had the biggest price jump of ₹12,000. Its price has gone up from ₹2.21 lakh to ₹2.33 lakh. This bike competes with Hero Karizma XMR, Bajaj Pulsar RS200, Suzuki SF 250, and Yamaha R15 V4.
KTM says the price hike is necessary to adjust to rising input costs. Even with the increase, KTM bikes continue to be popular among young riders and biking enthusiasts due to their sporty look and powerful performance.
