Bhagya Reddy Varma is a Pride of the Nation: KTR

Former Telangana Minister K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) paid rich tributes to social reformer Bhagya Reddy Varma, calling him a guiding light of the Dalit movement and a person the whole country should be proud of.

On the occasion of Bhagya Reddy Varma’s birth anniversary, KTR remembered his great contributions to society. He praised Varma for fighting for social justice, education rights, and the welfare of girls. He said that everyone should work together to fulfill the dream of an equal and fair society that Varma believed in.

Bhagya Reddy Varma was known for leading movements against child marriage and promoting equality among all communities. He also started the first school for Dalit girls in Hyderabad — a remarkable step for that time.

KTR said it is our duty to remember such great leaders and carry forward their vision. He added that Varma’s life should inspire today’s youth to stand for justice and equality.
