On April 20, 2025, Chandrababu Naidu, one of the most respected and influential leaders in Andhra Pradesh, turns 75 years old. Known for his vision, dedication, and long political journey, Naidu’s life has been a mix of remarkable achievements and tough challenges. Born on April 20, 1950, in Naravaripalle, a small village in Chittoor district, he studied economics and entered politics at a young age. Starting with the Congress Party, he became a minister at just 28. Later, he joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), founded by his father-in-law N.T. Rama Rao (NTR), and eventually became the most prominent face of the party.
Chandrababu Naidu became the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh in 1995. During his leadership, he brought new ideas and development to the state. He played a major role in making Hyderabad a global IT destination by bringing companies like Microsoft to the city. He developed Cyberabad and HITEC City, promoted digital governance through e-Seva, and introduced computer education early in schools. Because of his modern approach and administrative skills, he was often called the “CEO of Andhra Pradesh.” His efforts earned international praise, including appreciation from Bill Gates, and Time Magazine listed him among the top Asian leaders.
However, Naidu also faced criticism during his career. Many felt his focus was more on cities than on rural areas and farmers. He lost the 2004 elections and remained out of power for several years. After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, he became the Chief Minister of the new Andhra Pradesh and started the Amaravati capital project. But political changes and lack of funds slowed the dream. In 2019, he faced another defeat to Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and was criticized for not fulfilling key promises.
Even after setbacks, Chandrababu Naidu never stepped away from public life. He stayed active, interacted with people, and rebuilt support. In 2024, his alliance with JanaSena and BJP gave new strength to the TDP, especially among the youth. Now, in 2025, he is once again seen as a strong and experienced leader ready to work for the future of Andhra Pradesh.
On his 75th birthday, people from all over Andhra Pradesh and India are sending wishes. Social media is filled with messages calling him “The Visionary Leader,” “The Architect of Amaravati,” and “The Pride of Andhra.” Chandrababu Naidu’s story proves that with vision, hard work, and determination, a person can shape the future of an entire state. Despite many ups and downs, he never gave up. As he celebrates this special milestone, many are once again looking to him with hope and confidence.
Happy 75th Birthday to Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu — a leader who dared to dream big for Andhra Pradesh and continues to inspire generations.
