All S-400 Units Will Reach India by 2026, Russia Ensures

Russia has announced that it will complete the delivery of all the remaining S-400 air defence missile systems to India by the year 2026. This is part of a major defence deal signed in 2018, where India agreed to buy five S-400 systems from Russia for $5.43 billion.

So far, India has already received three of these missile systems. They have been placed at important locations near the borders with Pakistan and China to protect the country from any air threats like enemy aircraft or missiles.

A top Russian official, Roman Babushkin, said the S-400 systems that India already received have worked very well during tense situations. He also said Russia is still fully committed to completing the delivery of the last two systems by 2026.

The S-400 is a very advanced air defence system. It can detect and shoot down enemy planes and missiles from a long distance. This makes it a powerful tool for keeping India’s skies safe.

Russia and India are also talking about working together on other defence technologies, especially new systems to stop drones and other modern threats.

Once India receives all five S-400 systems, its defence capability will become much stronger. This deal is a big part of India’s plan to modernize its military and stay prepared for any danger in the future.
