Asaduddin Owaisi Slams Pakistan Over Pahalgam Attack: “Half a Century Behind India”
After the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, where 26 innocent people lost their lives, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi spoke out strongly against Pakistan.
At a public meeting in Parbhani, Maharashtra on April 28, 2025, Owaisi mocked Pakistan by saying:
“Pakistan says they are only half an hour behind India, but really, they are half a century behind us. Their total national budget is not even as big as India’s military budget.”
Owaisi also criticized Pakistan for always talking about being a nuclear power.
He warned that if they attack innocent people in India, India will not stay silent.
Owaisi compared Pakistan’s actions to terrorist groups like ISIS, saying:
“You are killing innocent people. What religion teaches you that? You are behaving like ISIS.”
He also accused Pakistan of training and supporting terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Meanwhile, India has already taken strong steps after the Pahalgam attack:
- Stopped the Indus Waters Treaty agreement.
- Closed the Attari border post.
- Sent back Pakistani diplomats from New Delhi.
- Cancelled special visas for Pakistan nationals and asked them to leave India within 48 hours.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also promised that those responsible for the attack will face the strongest punishment.
The situation along the India-Pakistan border remains tense, but Indian security forces are fully alert and ready.
