Chidambaram’s Comments Create Buzz: Says BJP is Strong, INDI Alliance Needs Unity

Senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram has made some strong and honest comments that are now the talk of political circles. In a recent public event, he praised the BJP’s strength and discipline and said the INDI Alliance (opposition parties’ group) is still weak and not fully united.

Chidambaram said,

“The BJP has a strong team that works together across the country. Their planning and organisation are far better than ours right now.”

He also said that the INDI Alliance must work with more unity and focus. According to him, if the opposition parties don’t come together properly, people may lose confidence in them. “An alliance with no clear direction will not win people’s trust,” he warned.

These comments surprised many, especially those within the Congress and its alliance partners. While some leaders felt it was a useful reminder, others thought it might hurt the image of the alliance.

The BJP welcomed Chidambaram’s remarks, saying that even Congress leaders now agree that the opposition is not strong or prepared.

Congress sources said that Chidambaram was speaking in his personal capacity, not as the official voice of the party. But they also admitted that the points he raised are being discussed within the party.
