Flights Cancelled in North India After Operation Sindoor Attack on Pakistan

Flights Cancelled in North India After India’s Attack on Pakistan

Airports closed, passengers asked to check flight updates before travel

After India launched a military attack on terror camps in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, flight services in North India have been badly affected. Many airports are shut, and flights are either cancelled or being sent to other cities.

What’s happening?

Due to safety concerns in the air, several airports in North India have stopped flight operations. The Indian government and airline companies are being extra careful after the missile strikes on Pakistan.

Which flights are cancelled?

Air India has cancelled all flights going to and from the following cities until 12 noon on May 7:

  • Jammu
  • Srinagar
  • Leh
  • Amritsar
  • Jodhpur
  • Bhuj
  • Jamnagar
  • Chandigarh
  • Rajkot

Two international flights that were going to land in Amritsar have been redirected to Delhi.

Srinagar Airport is completely closed for the day. No flights will take off or land there.

What are airlines saying?

SpiceJet has also shut down flights in cities like:

  • Dharamshala
  • Leh
  • Jammu
  • Srinagar
  • Amritsar

They said flights may be delayed, cancelled, or changed, and passengers should check their flight status before heading to the airport.

Qatar Airways has temporarily stopped flying to Pakistan due to airspace issues. They said they are watching the situation closely and will update passengers.

What should passengers do?

  • Check your flight status on the airline website or app.
  • Avoid traveling to airports unless your flight is confirmed.
  • Be ready for delays or changes.

This is a safety measure taken due to the ongoing tension after Operation Sindoor. Authorities will give updates as the situation improves.
