If Vijayasai Reddy is only the informer, the real question is – who are the beneficiaries?

In a surprising turn of events, former MP Vijayasai Reddy has hit back at his own party, the YSR Congress Party (YCP), over the ongoing liquor scam. His bold statements and public tweet have created a buzz in political circles and left many YSRCP leaders shocked.

Vijayasai Reddy, who was earlier seen as a close member of the YSRCP leadership, has now distanced himself from the liquor scam, claiming he has no role in it. In a powerful tweet, he said he acted only as an informer who tried to expose the scam, and accused some leaders of dragging his name into it to protect themselves. He declared that he did not take even a single rupee and is ready to fully cooperate with the investigation to reveal the truth.

His comments came shortly after the arrest of Rajasekhar Reddy Kasireddy, the main accused in the liquor scam, who was taken into custody in Hyderabad and questioned for hours by the SIT. Vijayasai Reddy had earlier given a statement to the investigation team, claiming the scam was fully operated under Kasireddy’s leadership.

What’s shocking is that Reddy’s recent remarks have directly targeted certain elements within the YSRCP, indicating a growing internal rift. Political analysts believe this could further damage the party’s image, especially with elections around the corner.

As the liquor scam investigation continues, Vijayasai Reddy’s counterattack has not only grabbed public attention but also shaken the confidence within the ruling party. His open challenge to expose the “real culprits” has now become a major talking point across Andhra Pradesh.
