Imran Khan and Bilawal Bhutto’s X Accounts Blocked in India
India has blocked the X (formerly Twitter) accounts of two well-known Pakistani leaders — Imran Khan and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. People in India can no longer see their posts. When someone tries to open their accounts, a message appears saying the content is not available in India because of a legal order.
This action was taken after the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, where 26 people lost their lives. The attack was linked to terrorists based in Pakistan. Since then, tensions between India and Pakistan have grown.
Imran Khan is a former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Bilawal Bhutto is a former Foreign Minister. Both are very active on social media and have millions of followers.
India has also blocked the X account of Ataullah Tarar, Pakistan’s Information Minister, who claimed that India might attack Pakistan. Along with political leaders, India has also restricted the Instagram accounts of Pakistani celebrities like Mahira Khan and Hania Aamir.
These blocks are part of India’s stronger response after the attack. India has already banned all trade with Pakistan, cut off some water-sharing agreements, and reduced diplomatic ties.
Relations between the two countries are now very tense, and the situation is being watched closely by both sides.
