Actress and Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta has taken legal action against her fellow team owners, Ness Wadia and Mohit Burman. She is upset about a team meeting that happened recently, saying it was not done in the right way.
What Happened?
On April 21, 2025, a special meeting was held by the company that owns Punjab Kings. Preity Zinta says she was not properly informed about this meeting. She had even sent an email on April 10 to raise concerns, but her email was ignored.
In that meeting, a new board member, Muneesh Khanna, was added. Preity and another director, Karan Paul, were against this decision. Even though they objected, the meeting went on and the decision was made.
What Is Preity Zinta Asking the Court?
She has filed a case in a Chandigarh court and asked for the following:
- To cancel the meeting that happened on April 21
- To stop Muneesh Khanna from acting as a board member
- To make sure no decisions from that meeting are used
- To stop future meetings unless both she and Karan Paul are present (and without Muneesh Khanna)
What’s Happening with the Team?
Even with this court issue, Preity Zinta is still cheering for her team. Punjab Kings, led by captain Shreyas Iyer, are doing really well this season. They’ve reached the playoffs for the first time since 2014 and are currently in third place.
