Operation Sindoor: Indian Air Force Destroys Terror Bases Across Pakistan and PoK, Targets Masood Azhar’s Stronghold

Masood Azhar’s House Destroyed

One of the main targets was the house of Masood Azhar, the leader of the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). His house was in Bahawalpur, Pakistan.

As per reports, 10 members of his family, including his sister, were killed. A total of 14 terrorists died in this strike. The house, JeM office, and an Islamic school (madrassa) nearby were all destroyed.

Masood Azhar is a wanted terrorist and has planned many attacks in Kashmir and Afghanistan. His home was used as the headquarters for JeM activities.

Nine Terror Camps Hit

India targeted 9 terror camps in this operation. These included training centers and launchpads used by:

  • Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM)
  • Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)
  • Hizbul Mujahideen

These camps were located in:

  • Bahawalpur (JeM HQ)
  • Muridke (LeT camp)
  • Kotli, Gulpur, Sawai, Bilal, Barnala, Sarjal, and Mehmoona (PoK launchpads)

A Careful Operation

The Indian government said this was a carefully planned operation. It did not target Pakistan’s military or civilians — only the terror bases.

This action shows India’s strong message that it will not allow terrorists to attack the country and hide in neighboring areas.
