Masood Azhar’s House Destroyed
One of the main targets was the house of Masood Azhar, the leader of the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). His house was in Bahawalpur, Pakistan.
As per reports, 10 members of his family, including his sister, were killed. A total of 14 terrorists died in this strike. The house, JeM office, and an Islamic school (madrassa) nearby were all destroyed.
Masood Azhar is a wanted terrorist and has planned many attacks in Kashmir and Afghanistan. His home was used as the headquarters for JeM activities.
Nine Terror Camps Hit
India targeted 9 terror camps in this operation. These included training centers and launchpads used by:
- Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM)
- Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)
- Hizbul Mujahideen
These camps were located in:
- Bahawalpur (JeM HQ)
- Muridke (LeT camp)
- Kotli, Gulpur, Sawai, Bilal, Barnala, Sarjal, and Mehmoona (PoK launchpads)
A Careful Operation
The Indian government said this was a carefully planned operation. It did not target Pakistan’s military or civilians — only the terror bases.
This action shows India’s strong message that it will not allow terrorists to attack the country and hide in neighboring areas.
