Rahul Gandhi Writes to PM Modi, Asks for Special Parliament Meeting on Ceasefire

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to call a special session of Parliament. He wants the government and all political leaders to talk openly about the recent events between India and Pakistan.

Rahul Gandhi said that the Pahalgam terror attack, India’s response with Operation Sindoor, and the ceasefire that followed are serious matters that should be discussed in Parliament.

He also pointed out that the ceasefire was first announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, not by Indian officials. Rahul believes the people of India have a right to know what is happening and their elected leaders should talk about it.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also sent a letter to the Prime Minister with the same request. He said the government should explain why the announcement came from the U.S. before India confirmed it.

The United States helped arrange the ceasefire between India and Pakistan after tensions increased. But now there are reports that the ceasefire may have been broken.

Rahul Gandhi and the Opposition believe that a special Parliament session is the right way to show unity, transparency, and responsibility in dealing with such important national issues.
