UP Bus Fire Accident: 5 People Dead, Including 2 Children
On May 15, 2025, a serious bus fire took place in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. A sleeper bus going from Delhi to Bihar caught fire while moving near Mohanlalganj on the Kisan Path. Sadly, 5 people died, including 2 children.
The fire started around 4:30 in the morning. Most passengers were sleeping when the bus suddenly caught fire. Within a few minutes, the whole bus was filled with flames and smoke. Some people managed to escape, but others got stuck inside and lost their lives.
Passengers said that the bus driver ran away after the fire started. He didn’t try to help or inform the police or fire department.
On the same day, another bus—this time a double-decker bus from Noida to Siwan (Bihar)—also caught fire near Sector 96 on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. This fire happened due to a short circuit. Luckily, the driver stopped the bus on the roadside and helped all 60 passengers get out safely. No one was hurt, and the fire was quickly put out.
These two incidents have raised serious concerns about bus safety. People are now asking the government to make sure that buses are checked regularly and drivers are trained to handle emergencies. Regular maintenance and safety checks can help avoid such terrible accidents in the future.
