West Bengal Woman Tortured for Months After Refusing Adult Film Work, Accused on the Run

In a horrifying case from West Bengal, a woman from Panihati in North 24 Parganas was allegedly held captive and brutally tortured for six months after she refused to take part in pornographic video shoots and bar dancing work. The woman is now in critical condition and receiving treatment at Sagor Dutta Medical College and Hospital.

According to the victim’s family, she met a man named Arian Khan from Howrah, who promised her a better job and higher pay. Trusting his offer, the woman moved to his flat in Domjur, where she was later forcefully confined. Along with Arian, his mother Shweta Khan—also known locally as Fultushi Begam—allegedly assaulted the woman regularly when she declined to work in adult films or as a dancer.

The victim told doctors and police that she was not only beaten with iron rods, but was also deprived of food for days. Her hands, feet, and even her teeth were reportedly broken during the repeated assaults. One family member said the abuse was so severe that the woman was unable to walk upright and had injuries all over her body, including her head, legs, and waist.

The situation came to light after the woman managed to escape on Saturday. Her family filed a police complaint at the Khardaha police station, prompting an immediate investigation. A raid was carried out at the accused’s residence, but both Arian and Shweta Khan had already fled and are currently absconding.

Further investigation revealed that the accused pair ran a media outfit called Isara Entertainment, which had a YouTube channel with a small number of music videos. This has led authorities to suspect that the production house was a front for illegal activities, possibly including a pornography racket.

Locals reported that Arian Khan was known for filing false complaints against those who questioned his actions. They also claimed he and his mother hadn’t paid rent for the flat they stayed in and had a history of anti-social behavior.

The victim’s mother, devastated by her daughter’s suffering, has demanded strict action—especially against Shweta Khan, who she alleges was the most violent and cruel during the months-long abuse.

Police continue to search for the accused, while the woman remains under medical care as she fights for her life.
