Abhishek Sharma’s Firepower Ends LSG’s Playoff Hopes as SRH Seals Commanding Win

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) won an important IPL match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 19, 2025, by 6 wickets. The match was played at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. With this win, LSG was knocked out of the tournament.

LSG batted first and scored 205 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh played well and scored 65 runs from 39 balls. Aiden Markram also helped the team by scoring 61 runs from 38 balls. However, in the last few overs, LSG couldn’t score quickly and missed the chance to reach an even bigger total.

In response, SRH started very strongly. Young batter Abhishek Sharma was in top form and smashed 59 runs in just 20 balls. His powerful hitting gave SRH a quick start. Kamindu Mendis also played well but had to leave the field after scoring 32 runs due to an injury. Later, Heinrich Klaasen played calmly and scored 34 runs helping SRH reach the target with ease.
